This Week's Update - Happy Birthday To Us! Print
Written by Nick Huggins

So we re-launched IrishGaming.Com on September 30th 2008. And it's just over a year since we did so. Happy birthday to us! In the 52 weeks since then, we've run 46 weekly updates. We've run a competition and we've uploaded a total of 96 scenarios and 11 articles. We're pretty damned proud of ourselves today, me and Noirin!

But we couldn't do it without ye lot. It's your scenarios and articles that demonstrate to the Internet at large how vibrant and creative the Irish Gaming Scene is. We just curate this stuff, and we're pretty reliant on ye all to send us content that - let's face it - you're not likely to use again anyway. Thanks everyone who's sent us anything over the past year!

We've a few ideas for where we'd like to go over the next year, and things we'd like to do. I'd like to throw open the doors for comment as well, so if you have a suggestion, or if you'd just like to say Happy Birthday, use the comment button right now! NOW! If you want to give us a birthday present, though, it'll have to wait until Gaelcon. We'll be there, gaming our little heads off and would appreciate chocolate and booze. And words of encouragement. But mostly chocolate and booze. More about Gaelcon next week when we're not celebrating.

Happy birthday to us, Happy birthday to us, Happy birthday Dear IrishGaming.Com, Happy birthday to us!

One year and 224 scenarios later, thanks so much to everybody who's submitted scenarios and articles to us, I'm sure they've been enjoyed by many a gaming group!

As always, we'd love to be able to share even more of your games with the Irish Gaming Community, so feel free to drop on by! Happy Gaming!

Good morning Irish Gamers! Apologies for the characteristics of this update which lead it to be categorised as 'late'. The past month has been quite a tricky one here at the Irish Gaming Towers, and last week we had the ending of the era which was best known as ConFESS. We here at IrishGaming.Com would like to say well done to everybody involved. ConFESS will be missed, but kudos to the Flat Earth Society guys for having their convention go out with such a bang!

This week we are updating the site with two new gaming systems from Michael Craughwell! The first is called 3G's and and second is the Epic system.

We're in the market for new scenarios at the moment, so if you have any games lying around that you'd like to share with the world, then feel free to give us a shout and let us know. Happy Gaming!

Okay! Back in the seat by the keyboard! And I'm able to think properly now... for certain values of properly. Sooo...

This week we've got an articles week - Brian's talking about NPCs and Mary Sue (I think I've rolled dice with her once or twice) over in Natural20's Random Thought Table, and across the hall in LARP Experiments I'm expounding on randomly generated backgrounds for LARP characters in theater-style games.
