Following on from last week's yak about weird games your family might like, Shane, Liam and humbug turn things around and consider family games your weirdo might like.

Charades rules: race memory or latter-day bardic oral tradition? Discuss.

I've found that my rules for charades are at odds with many people I've met.

What does bouncing fingers off of your arms even mean?

Tapping fingers on your arm indicates the number of syllables in the word.

Oral tradition definately

Yeah my Trivial Pursuit game is pretty badly in need of an update. It is pretty funny when someone gives an answer that is correct now but not at the time of printing.

i.e. Question: Dalmatia is a region in what country?
The answer of course being Croatia but the set having been printed in the early/mid eighties the answer is in fact Yugoslavia.

It did get me thinking about the numorous errors that came up from the old set. USSR ain't around, Pluto is no longer a planet, LOADS of African countries have changed their names or broken up. I wonder if this does give a certain lifespan to any given set of Trivial Pursuit...
