+1 Int, October 2009: Gaelcon, part 2

Shane, humbug and Liam get stuck into the other half of unfounded speculation about Gaelcon.

So for the record, yes you *can* carry your character from previous episodes of JumpTech. The same character, like. Not their mother. If anyone's interested I'm gonna throw a more informative message into the Jumptech forum now.

Thanks!

L5R is Deadlands for Japanese people...

Must tell this to my L5R group, who used to be my Deadlands group.

Also, what kind of stuff is suggested for costume for the Dark Heresy LARP? I've been tempted to show up to one of those for a while, so this may be a good chance for me to get myself hooked.

Edit: Also, 5 cowboys got pulled. Seems to have been replaced by this game:

In the Company of Darkness
By Feargal Fanning
Date: November 1968
Briefing: As part of operation Commando Hunt you are to travel up the Kong River and into Laos. Under the cover of darkness you will insert a LRRP to perform a Bomb Damage Assessment on the recent bombing raids of the Ho Chi Min Trail. You will then rendezvous with the LRRP at a pre-determined spot and get them back to base in one peace. Men America is not in Laos. So make sure everyone comes back dead or alive.
Enemy Forces: Heavy. I don’t need to remind you that this is there supply route to South Vietnam so expect plenty of Charlie.
Support: You’ll be entering Laos, so you’re on your own. I’ll say a prayer.
Weather: Hot and shitty. Have fun.
Equipment: Mark II PBR. If no shots are fired this mission will have been a good one, but pack for trouble.
A GURPS : Vietnam for 5 players.

Lenin's brain does not, yet, include any references to John Lennon.

I am very, very tempted to rewrite it after the con, though...

All stand for national anthem:

"Flew in from Miami Beach BOAC
Didn't get to bed last night
Oh, the way the paper bag was on my knee
Man, I had a dreadful flight
I'm back in the USSR
You don't know how lucky you are, boy
Back in the USSR, yeah" etc :D
